An open house for “Reimagining the DL&W Corridor,” a project of the Western New York Land Conservancy, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at M&T Center, 3 Fountain Plaza, Buffalo.
The Land Conservancy is holding an international design ideas competition to transform the former elevated DL&W railroad corridor running from Canalside to the Buffalo River into an inspiring new nature trail and greenway.
Nearly one hundred proposals were submitted from across the region, the country and around the world. Nature lovers, trail users, and people excited about the revitalization of Buffalo’s waterfront and communities are now being encouraged to vote for their favorite design ideas. The design that receives the most votes will win the Community Choice Award.
At the open house, you can see the top proposals from an international design ideas competition and cast your vote for the Community Choice Award
The event is free. Registration is recommended to speed up the check-in process, but walk-ins are also welcome.
