A free, live, online presentation on Tree and Landscape Diseases will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County.
You will hear see and hear the presentation at home on your computer. This presentation will be held live, online via Zoom.
Steve Jakobi, Master Gardener volunteer, will discuss the differences between insect-induced damage and losses due to pathogens, as well as the conditions necessary for disease development. Examples of prevalent or important recent tree diseases and their control in New York State will be highlighted.
Pre-register online. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing details on how to join the presentation the night of Jan. 30.
If you have never used Zoom on your computer, you will want to log in a few minutes early to download the software. It is highly recommended that you run a sound check (which you will be asked to do)– don’t skip this part.
