The Niagara Frontier Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK-NFC) will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Amherst Community Church, 77 Washington Highway, Amherst. Parking is in the lot behind the church, next to Amherst High School. Enter the church and proceed upstairs to Fellowship Hall.
Long time member, Ed Kasperek will present a workshop focused on hiking essentials to instruct members on how to lead safe and fun hikes. At 7:30 pm Geologist Dan Krisher, former head of geology of Wards Natural Science, Rochester, will present “New York State- 380 Million Years BCE.”
The Adirondack Mountain Club, which is celebrating 100 years as a conservation organization, serves to protect New York State’s wild lands and waters by promoting responsible outdoor recreation and building a statewide constituency of land stewardship advocates.
