The Niagara Frontier Botanical Society will meet from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 in the Harlem Road Community Center, 4255 Harlem Rd., Amherst.

The program at the meeting is titled Grafting of Ornamental and Fruit Trees—An Ancient Art for Modern Times.” Speakers Ted Hildebrant and Elly Keyel own Coldwater Pond Nursery in Phelps, New York, which grows rare and ornamental trees for the nursery trade. They will explain the concepts behind grafting and follow with demonstrations of several common grafting methods. Pointers will be given on how to do your own grafting at home.

All meetings are free and open to the public.
