The Niagara Frontier Botanical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Harlem Road Community Center, 4225 Harlem Road, one block south of Main St., Snyder.
Meetings are open to the public and free of charge.
Wayne Gall, regional entomologist for the New York State Department of Health, will present “Northern Exposure: Some Arctic-Alpine Plants of North America.”
It will be a brief review the characteristics and adaptations of arctic and alpine plants with images of representative arctic-alpine plants that he photographed at Churchill, Manitoba, in the Canadian Rockies and the Adirondack High Peaks.
