People who currently run a mobile market or want to start one in their community can attend the Mobile Market Summit on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 5 and 6 at the University at Buffalo
Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, 995 Main St., Buffalo.
There are various prices for the event. You can also participate remotely. See registration information here.
The event will bring together mobile market managers, researchers and people interested in starting food access programs in their communities.
Researchers are with the Veggie Van Study, based at UB and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Members of the team ran the Veggie Van program for over 6 years in North Carolina. Now they have transitioned to providing technical assistance to other organizations looking to start mobile produce markets or evaluate their current programs.
