A workshop on mixed fall containers will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Lockwood’s Greenhouses, 4484 Clark St., Hamburg.

Are your summer containers wilting and browning from the effects of a hot summer? It is time to replace those tired pots with some fresh planters for the autumn season.

Marge Vogel will show you how to plant up a mixed container using cold-tolerant annuals. You will have your choice of ornamental kale, millet, sedum, ornamental peppers, mums, coneflower and more. These plants come in the colors of the season to match pumpkins and corn stalks we’ll be harvesting later.

Class includes pot, soil, plants and instruction. The cost is $30. Register here.

This is part of Lockwood’s 11th annual Fall Garden Festival.
