The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will present a medicinal garden feature from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.
The event will highlight Cancer Awareness & Flu Prevention.
Activities include educational displays about the possible role of botanicals in preventing the seasonal flu and the use of plants in treating and researching cancer. The Western New York affiliate of Susan G. Komen will also provide informational materials.
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Catholic Health’s Mission on the Move team will provide blood pressure screening and flu vaccinations.
The feature is included with regular admission: $9 for adults, $8 for seniors (ages 55 and older) and students (ages 13 and older with ID), $5 for children ages 3-12 and free for Botanical Gardens members and children 2 and under.
