Experience the 2015 Maple Sugar Festival from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 21, 22, 28 and 29 at the Genesee Country Village & Museum, 1410 Flint Hill Road, Mumford.
Start your visit at the Nature Center and walk on the Maple History Trail. As you hike through the recently expanded sugarbush you’ll see more trees tapped with modern tubing and can stop at stations to see how collecting sap has changed over time.
After visiting the maple sugar camp, head out to the Historic Village to experience a number of different aspects of 19th century life.
There will be a cooking with maple contest on March 28.
A pancake breakfast will be served 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day of the event and will also be available March 8, 14 and 15.
For the Maple Sugar Festival only, the cost for adults is $10; youth (16 and under) and Museum Members are free. The pancake breakfast not included in free admission to the festival.
For the pancake breakfast only, the cost for adults is $8.50; youth (4-16) $6.50; children (3 & under) are free. There is no Museum Member discount for the pancake breakfast.
