Audubon Community Nature Center

The Audubon Community Nature Center will hold Little Explorers: “Into the Nest” from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11 at the Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Rd., Jamestown.

While most people think nests are like a bird’s house, birds actually build nests to protect their eggs and babies.

This month, children will learn all about bird nests and what they are made out of, why birds put them where they do, and how they help protect the eggs and baby birds. This program includes a lesson followed by outdoor exploration and a snack. If time and weather allow, a craft is included.

The cost is $8 for adults, $6 for Nature Center members and  $6 for children ages 3 to 8.
Paid reservations must be made online by Thursday, May 9.
