SUMMARY:75th Annual Rose Show: "A Celebration of Roses"
DESCRIPTION:The Rose Show will take place in the separate Administration Building to the right of the main conservatory. Look for the green sign that says “Rose Show” in the parking lot. You can buy your tickets at the main entrance to the Conservatory\, or at the Rose Show itself.In addition to various species of roses\, there will also be rose arrangement and rose photography competitions. All will be judged by certified rose horticulture judges. While most of the entries will be from the WNY Rose Society\, you can enter your own rose as well. \n\n\n\nTake your rose to the show well before 10:45 a.m. on the day of the show; that is the deadline to have your entry tag filled out. The judging will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vases will be provided.

DESCRIPTION:As an artist and educator\, Judith Kosinski has always been impressed by nature’s ability to persevere and continually strive to create new life\, despite obstacles. She has taken this inspiration and used her art to push through life’s challenges herself.  This exhibit shows her love of experimenting with different media\, different techniques\, different mark-making\, etc.  Judy’s floral paintings are not always literal expressions of what she sees but often instead\, interpretations of what she feels when viewing nature’s wonder.  “For me\, there is so much joy in taking this timeless subject of nature and stretching myself artistically to express what I see and feel in many different ways.  I am so inspired by the colors\, textures\, wildness and creativity of nature…!”   \n\n\n\nThe exhibit runs through June 28 and is include with the price of admission.

She has taken this inspiration and used her art to push through life’s challenges herself.  This exhibit shows her love of experimenting with different media\, different techniques\, different mark-making\, etc.  Judy’s floral paintings are not always literal expressions of what she sees but often instead\, interpretations of what she feels when viewing nature’s wonder.  “For me\, there is so much joy in taking this timeless subject of nature and stretching myself artistically to express what I see and feel in many different ways.  I am so inspired by the colors\, textures\, wildness and creativity of nature…!”   \n\n\n\nThe exhibit runs through June 28 and is include with the price of admission.

DESCRIPTION:Get up close and personal with the family of koi fish at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. Enjoy early access to the Gardens before they are open to the public with a special learning experience that’s fun for all ages. Each participant receives a cup of koi fish food and time to help feed our fishy friends.  \n\n\n\nThis special encounter is limited to 15 people per experience. DESCRIPTION:The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County (CCE) Master Gardener Program will hold its 15th annual plant sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday\, May 22\, and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday\, May 23 at the First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo\, One Symphony Circle\, Buffalo. \n\n\n\nThe sale includes a choice selection of sun and shade perennials\, natives\, pollinator-friendly plants\, herbs\, annuals\, shrubs\, houseplants\, and vegetables from the gardens of\, or raised by\, CCE Erie Master Gardener volunteers\, as well as plants from area horticultural businesses\, including annuals\, herbs\, hanging baskets\, and houseplants. \n\n\n\nMaster Gardener volunteers will be available throughout the sale to share best practices for selecting and growing plants best suited to your garden.  \n\n\n\nWhile visiting the sale\, shop their array of useful and decorative garden treasures.  \n\n\n\nCash\, check\, and credit cards are accepted. \n\n\n\nInterested in finding out the pH of the soil in your garden or lawn? Take one cup of dry soil representing the root zone for your plants. A Master Gardener can test your soil on-site for a small fee. Learn more about soil testing here.
