Trees that are promising, but not used often in landscapes, will be the topic of a slide presentation from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Draves Arboretum, 1821 Sharrick Rd., Darien.

The presentation will be given by Tom Draves, curator of the arboretum, and Tim Richley. (An arboretum is a botanical collection of trees.)

The trees covered in the presentation are available regionally. There is a list of more than 50 trees. After the presentation, participants can observe the trees in the arboretum.

Seating is limited. To register, email Dravesarboretum@rochester.rr.com. The cost is $75 for members of Draves Arboretum and $100 for non-members.
