The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens’ will hold a Kokedama Hanging gardens workshop at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at the Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.
Kokedama, or “moss ball gardening” is a Japanese hanging garden that originated from bonsai styles. These trendy arrangements are created with mosses, a packed soil mixture and string. Participants will make a unique and decorative plant arrangement in this popular class led by David Clark. Participants are advised to bring gloves and a box for transporting their creation.
The cost of the class is $45 for Botanical Gardens members and $50 for the general public.
