The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will hold a Kokedama hanging garden workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at the Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.

Kokedama, or “moss ball gardening” is a Japanese hanging garden that originated from bonsai styles. These trendy arrangements are created with a fun plant, mosses, packed soil mixture and string. Participants will make a unique and decorative plant arrangement in this popular class led by David Clark. Gloves and a box for transporting the finished product are recommended.

The cost is $45 for Botanical Gardens members and $50 for the general public. Registration is available online.
