A kokedama ball workshop will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at Lockwood’s Greenhouses, 4484 Clark St., Hamburg.

You will make and take home this stylish and trendy plant creation.

Kokedama is a ball of soil, covered with moss, in which an ornamental plant grows. For this workshop, you will be using a fern plant and live sheet moss. The moss is secured to the root ball with fishing line and fern pins. The project includes a hanger to suspend your finished kokedama ball. This is a very beautiful way to hang plants from trees in the shade garden. The ball must be soaked frequently to keep moist. It can also be rested in a bowl or on a plate by an indoor window.

This workshop was a hit earlier this year. It will be presented by Mary Trifunovic of Lockwood’s.

The price is $40.
