This free public event is organized by the college’s department of geography and planning and the Buffalo office of the National Weather Service.
It will be an opportunity to learn about what is new in local weather and climate information and research from experts in meteorology and climatology.
Presentations will also be given by Tom Niziol, winter weather expert with the Weather Channel and former meteorologist-in-charge with the Buffalo Office of the National Weather Service, and Don Paul, chief meteorologist with WIVB-TV.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with presentations running between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A light lunch will be served. Two workshops will be given between 2 and 3 p.m.
Advance registration is required to obtain lunch and attend the workshop.
