Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County will hold an introduction to pickling workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Cornell Cooperative Extension training center, 4487 Lake Ave., Lockport.
Pickling has been a tradition in many cultures but has been a lost art in recent times. In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of pickling by making vegetable pickles.
This workshop is part of a series of six food preservation workshops. All workshops will be led by trained master food preservers and will be a combination of a presentation and hands-on group learning experiences. All course materials are included.
