Date(s) - Wednesday, May 04, 2016

Audubon Nature Center

The Audubon Nature Center will hold their Intro to Volunteering at the Nature Center from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at the Audubon Nature Center at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Rte 62 between Jamestown, NY, and Warren, PA.

This event will be for people interested in volunteering as well as new volunteers.

Participation is free. Reservations are requested by May 2, and can be made by stopping by the Nature Center or calling (716) 569-2345.

This introductory training will cover a brief history of the Audubon Nature Center, review the many facets of the organization in which volunteers are involved, and acquaint participants with faces and places at the Nature Center.

The workings of the Nature Center depend on the dedication and commitment of its volunteers. With school programs reaching nearly 19,000 students and a similar number of visitors each year, the Nature Center could not survive without the dedication and commitment of a strong volunteer crew.

For the volunteer, there are many benefits too.  Volunteering provides an opportunity to use skills and pursue interests, meet new people, and become part of a community.

To learn more, call (716) 569-2345 during business hours or online.
