The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will hold a series of Horticulture I classes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on six Saturdays at the Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.
The cost for Botanical Gardens members is $108 for the entire series or $18 per class. For the general public, the cost is $138 for the series or $23 per class.
The classes are taught by Horticulturist David Clark. These classes are intended for beginners or gardeners and landscapers wishing to brush up on their skills. Those who complete each series will be presented with a certificate of completion. More information and registration is available online.

Sept. 8: Botany 101
Sept. 15: Plant propagation
Sept. 29: Pest management and disease
Oct. 6: Shrubs and trees (includes a tree tour)
Oct. 13: Annuals and perennials
Oct. 20: Garden design
