A bioblitz will take place during a 24-hour period Saturday, July 26 at Beaver Meadow, 1610 Welch Road in North Java.

A bioblitz is an intense period of biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living species within a designated area. This year’s summer event, held by the Buffalo Audubon Society, will add to what they learned last year during the spring bioblitz.

Pick and choose when you want to help and what you want to learn about. Experts in various taxonomic groups will aid them in our quest to survey all that lives here, while educating those that participate in the event on the importance of biodiversity.

Times for specific programs will be available on the Buffalo Audubon website soon.
