Harvest Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Rd., Amherst.

Ever wonder where the majority of autumn traditions and food came about in our WNY region? Harvest Day is a day to discover, learn, and participate in 19th-century harvest traditions. Explore a wide variety of activities including honey harvesting and making corn husk and wheat dolls.

Visitors are welcome to explore the 10 historic structures, Heritage Farmstead, and indoor exhibits.

  • Guided tours of the Historic Village will be offered throughout the day
  • Skilled artisans will demonstrate blacksmithing, cooking, corn husk and wheat doll making, and more
  • “Three Sister Stew” making, and food preparation discussions/demonstrations
  • As part of BNHV’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible educational programming, children will receive free admission

General admission is $10.
