The Genesee County Master Gardeners will offer their popular educational programs again this spring. All programs are from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Genesee County Cornell Cooperative Extension building, 420 East Main St., Batavia.
The cost is $10 per person per class unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration is required as class size is limited.
The registration deadline is April 8.

A variety of gardening topics will be presented and taught by Master Gardeners:
Wednesday, April 13 – “Urban Forestry and Tree Care.” Healthy trees are an asset as they provide cooling shade, habitat for birds and can increase the value of your property. Garrett Koplun, Department of Environmental Conservation forester will instruct those attending on how managing trees in an urban environment differs from a traditional forest environment. He will discuss a number of problems common to trees in an urban setting as well as cover ways on how to improve and prevent tree health issues. This program is free.
