Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County


The Genesee County Master Gardeners will hold a monthly summer series called Garden Talk from 12:15 to 12:45 pm. on one Tuesday a month at the Cornell Cooperative Extension office, 420 East Main St., Batavia.

The series is free. No registration is not required.

You can take your lunch.

On June 7 the topic will be “Introduction to Beneficial Insects.” Most of the insects that live in your garden or landscape are beneficial.  They do little or no harm to you or your plants. Some of these good guys even provide free pest control for you. Find out who these allies are.

On July 12 learn about propagating perennials from cuttings. This is an easy way to create more plants for your garden.

On Aug. 2, there will be a demonstration on using flowers from your garden to make beautiful arrangements.
