The Garden Talk series will be held again by the Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County.

It will take place at noon (note the time change) on Thursday, May 7 via Zoom.

Join the Genesee County Master Gardeners for “Common Gardening Mistakes.” Let’s face it, we’ve all been there. Even Master Gardeners make mistakes and kill plants! If you have questions about proper watering techniques, fertilizing or soil preparation this talk is for you. They’ll cover the basics.

Please register in advance for this free program at https://cornell.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJUtd-2orjwiEtduRoSsqZKA9LzY5xH2yIH0 After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Then join from the comfort of your own home.

The next talk will be “Spotted Lanternfly” on June 4. This pretty bug has been in the news, but not for its good looks. Spotted lanternfly is the latest invasive pest from Asia that is causing concern to farmers and homeowners alike. Learn how to identify the eggs, nymphs and adults.
