Create your own tropical oasis with a new workshop called Garden in a Jar at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.
A workshop will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16
Prices are $18.50 for everyone (including members) ages 12 and up; $14.50 for everyone (including members) ages 3-12; and free for children 2 and under.
This special all-ages workshop will be held at the Botanical Gardens with safety guidelines in place.
Join one of their educators as you learn how terrariums work, how to create an enclosed ecosystem, and how to care for your tropical plant. This fun workshop includes all materials needed to build a tropical terrarium. Plastic “jars” will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own enclosed (preferably wide-mouthed) quart-sized jar.
Admission to the Botanical Gardens is also included so participants can take a self-guided tour through the Botanical Gardens after the workshop.
In order to create the safest environment possible, this special learning experience is limited to 10 people per class and all tickets must be purchased ahead of time online. Member discounts do not apply. All parties must be ticketed. Face masks are required at all times for participants 2 years old and over.
