Citizen scientists as well as educators and natural resource professionals can take part in a free training to help with the early detection of invasive species through iMapInvasives, an online mapping system.

Learn how to report the invasive species locations and control efforts in your area. You can even use your smartphone to report new findings.

Training is required to use this online mapping system, but the training is free.

A training session will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center,
1101 Casey Rd., Basom. Register here.

If you can’t make it to the in-person training, you can request a free login account and take the online tutorials.
