Residents concerned about rising costs and nutrition are becomingly increasingly interested in home production of chickens for eggs and meat. This seminar will explore the requirements and process of entering poultry production on a small scale.
Lynn Bliven, Agricultural Issues Leader for Cornell Cooperative Extension and instructor for the Cornell University Small Farms Program, will present her experiences with producing eggs and raising poultry on her own small farm, and will also cover regulatory requirements for home poultry production. There will be sufficient time devoted to questions and answers as well.
