Free class on urban vegetable gardening

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County Master Gardener Program will hold a free gardening class called “Urban Vegetable Gardening” from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2 in the Community Room at the Broadway Market, 999 Broadway, Buffalo.

Advance registration is not required.

Learn the basics of gardening from trained Master Gardener volunteers. The workshop will cover vegetable gardening, starting your own seeds, compost & soil, how to amend your soil, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM), a stepwise approach to minimize pests in the garden.
