Audubon Community Nature Center will host First Friday lunch bunch: “Allegheny National Forest Adventures” from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 2 at Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown.
Participants will enjoy the stunning photography of Piper Van Ord as she takes them on a photographic journey through the hidden and not-so-hidden treasures of the Allegheny National Forest.
The Allegheny National Forest covers over 500,000 acres of land in Pennsylvania. There are miles of trails, beautiful hills, rock cities, old growth forest and more in that area.
Piper Van Ord owns and operates Allegheny Outfitters in Warren, Pennsylvania. She is a constant visitor to the forest, visiting many out of the way places reached by trail or kayak.
A BYO brown bag lunch will follow. Audubon provides coffee and tea.
The cost is $6 for Community Nature Center Members and $8 for the general public.
