Everyone has heard of endangered species, but how about endangered landscapes, habitats and views? The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy is developing a tool that will look at the region on a landscape level, analyzing various inputs to determine the spaces that need the most protection. This allows it to establish a list to help prioritize conserving and protecting the most endangered species, sensitive habitat and scenic views. This prioritization will also help protect areas that contribute most to climate resiliency and environmental equity.
