The Western New York Hosta Society will present the 17th Annual Fall Hosta Forum from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Student Center of Edinboro University, 219 Meadville Street, Edinboro, Pennsylvania.

This year’s theme is “Damn Right, I’ve Got the Blues.”  Blue is an elusive color in the garden and when found, tends to cool the frenetic palette of other plants in the same way that soulful American mainstay music–the blues–can cool a mood.

Speakers include Don Dean, Rick Goodenough, Oscar Cross and Laura Deeter.

A buffet lunch is included. There will also be auctions, a raffle, door prizes and more. The schedule can be found on the Hosta Forum flyer and the registration form is here.

Registration must be received by Sept. 5. Cost is $60 per person for WNY Hosta Society members and $70 for non-members. If you bring a hosta worth $20 or more for the auction, you can deduct $10 from your registration. See registration form for details.

There will be special programming on Friday night for those wishing to come early. Please note that reservations are required; see the registration form for details. Click here for a campus map of Edinboro University.
