The Audubon Community Nature Center will hold Hellbender survey: experience a day as a fisheries biologist from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 2 starting at Lowe’s Home, 2625 Market St., North Warren, the east side of the parking lot nearest State Route 62.

Participants can spend a day assisting fisheries professionals as they work to capture, process and then return hellbenders — a species of aquatic giant salamander — to streams of the Allegheny National Forest.

Water, lunch and snacks will be provided.

The rain date will be Monday, July 16.

The cost is $40 per participant.
