The Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program of Chautauqua County will host an Evening in the Garden Program at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 in the Demonstration Garden at the Frank Bratt Ag Center, 3542 Turner Rd., Jamestown.
The evening will include a tour of the garden, a tasting of the vegetable varieties that are ready for harvest as well as gardening demonstrations. The event will be held rain or shine, with the demonstrations taking place in a classroom inside in case of rain.
This year the Master Gardeners are highlighting straw bale gardening, tea and herb gardening, pizza gardening, edible flowers as well as testing many other interesting techniques and vegetables. The evening will be hosted and presented by Chautauqua County Master Gardeners.
The mission of the Master Gardener Program is to educate and serve the community, utilizing university and research-based horticultural information. This program is administered through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County.
