Find out what to do to prepare your garden for winter during the Evening in the Garden to be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 in the Demonstration Garden of the Frank Bratt Agricultural Center, 3542 Turner Rd., Jamestown.
Master Gardener Jim Cowan will explain different methods for keeping your garden healthy over the winter.
Also on the agenda is a discussion on saving seeds by Master Gardener Suzanne Bloom.
Finally there will be a demonstration on growing leeks in the home garden – different methods for different types of leeks.
The Master Gardeners always welcome your questions concerning your home gardens, and even though it’s late in the gardening season, you may already have questions for next spring’s planting.
This is at the final Evening in the Garden for the year. The events will resume next May.
