The Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County will present their September Evening in the Garden at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 in the Demonstration Garden at the Frank Bratt Ag Center, 3542 Turner Rd., Jamestown.
The main topic will getting your garden beds ready for winter, especially cleaning, weeding and mulching vegetable gardens. Master gardeners will also show different ways to use and save vegetables for fall and winter use. Recipes will be available for zuchini and Swiss chard.
Master Gardeners will be present to answer your gardening questions and are eager to hear everyone’s gardening ideas. In case of rain, the Evening in the Garden will be held inside the Ag Center.
Chautauqua County Master Gardeners also staff a Help Desk/Help Line at the Ag Center every Wednesday from noon to 2 pm. You can email them at email@example.com, call the help desk at 716-664-9502 ext. 224, or drop in between noon and 2 pm any Wednesday. The Help Desk will close at the end of September and will resume in April 2017.
