Yolanda Smith will talk about wild strawberries at the Elder’s Circle Meeting to be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 23 at the Winnie Kettle Bldg., 28 Thomas Indian School Dr.,  Irving, NY 14081
A potluck dinner starts promptly at 5 p.m. and participants are asked to bring a side dish or to donate.

The event is hosted by the Food is Our Medicine Project.

All ages are welcome to join the monthly circle as the group considers the impact on the Seventh Generation. This is our way to honor Mother Earth, and spread our culture to our youth and extended community through our traditional food ways and gardening. It is a time for the Elders to share traditional wisdom, which transcends tribal politics and brings everyone together. We celebrate Elders cultural knowledge through their stories, songs and sharing of their recipes.
