Learn from folks at the Jamestown Audubon Community Nature Center, Penn Dixie Fossil Park and Nature Preserve, Girl Scouts of WNY and more. Learn about the role that pollinators play in nature and observe some germinating seeds with the Botanical Gardens Education Team. You’ll also get to create your own seed bomb with pollinator-friendly seeds to take home and plant.
Help save the bees with Hahn’s Honey Bees and decorate the hive that will be home to their first round of rescue bees this year. Speak with a local environmental artist, Alexis Oltmer, and learn about the importance of healthy lawns with the Erie County Environmental Management Council and their spokesgnome, Frederick Lawn Gnomested.
Please note that some vendors will have items available for purchase at a separate price from admission.
The Botanical Gardens’ Nature Book Drive with the Buffalo Bookmobile is continuing through April 30 as part of the WNY Earth Day Challenge through Erie County. Bring in a book and earn points towards the challenge.
E-Tickets are strongly recommended for all visitors, including members, for this event. Walk-ins may be turned away if visitor capacity has been met. Please arrive within 15 minutes of your arrival time. Most visitors spend 45 minutes-1.5 hours to complete their visit, but you are welcome to stay until we close to the public.
