Draves Arboretum’s open tour

The fourth annual open tour of Draves Arboretum will take place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10 at the arboretum, 1821 Sharrick Rd., Darien.

This event is an opportunity for the public learn more about Draves Arboretum and experience the woody species collections through a guided tour of the grounds. Curator Thomas Draves gives a guided tour of the grounds that includes arboretum history, species identification, and other points of interest. He will also entertain participants’ questions throughout the tour. Draves has over 40 years of experience in the tree and landscape industry and has been an ISA Certified Arborist for many years.

The arboretum grounds have hills and uneven terrain so please wear walking/hiking shoes for your safety.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time. You are welcome to stay beyond the tour and explore on your own.
