The 2014 Communities in Bloom Spring Gardening Class,  a one-day seminar on various gardening topics, will be held  9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 in the Demonstration Room at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County office, 21 South Grove St., East Aurora.

Presented by CCE Erie County Master Gardeners in cooperation with Buffalo in Bloom, seminar topics include:

  • Perennials
  • Annuals
  • Seed starting
  • Soils
  • Fertilizers
  • Organic gardening
  • Disease and pest prevention (IPM)
  • Growing vegetables
  • Pruning

Cost $20. Please bring a bagged lunch and drink, plus pen and paper for note taking.

Seating is limited. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins please! Register online by Friday, April 25 (firm) in order to ensure your seat. (You’ll use the same online form that was used for an earlier event. The form has April 4 listed as the deadline, but don’t worry, the deadline for the second event is April 25.)
