Today is the last day to pre-register for the Spring Nature Festival to be held by Earth Spirit from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Buffalo Ski Club, 7414 State Road (Rte. 240), Colden, N.Y. 14033.
Activities include wild herb walks, making herbal concoctions, stream studies, birding hikes, nature games, live animal demonstrations and live musical entertainment. Also included in the day’s festivities will be a nature basket raffle. An optional lunch of Wendel’s barbecued chicken will be available for an extra fee. Vegetarian entrées prepared under the direction of co-director and former chef Scott Lembitz will also be available.
The festival will help raise funds to support the environmental education mission of Earth Spirit which provides diverse environmental education programs to schools, community groups and the general public.
Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, April 23 for both the events and meal. Fee is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and $25 for families of three or more. The optional meal is extra and costs $10 per person.
