Introduction to Pickling will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 by Cornell Cooperative Extension in Niagara County in the WNY Food Incubator kitchen in the 4-H Training Center, 4487 Lake Ave., Lockport.
Pickling has been a tradition in many cultures but has been a lost art in recent times. In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of pickling by making vegetable pickles. This workshop will be led by a trained Master Food Preserver and will be a combination of a presentation and hands-on group learning experiences.
All course materials are included in the workshop fee of $20/workshop/person.
