The Buffalo Area Daylily Society will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 15 in the Aurora Senior Center, 101 King St., East Aurora. (Don’t park in the plaza lot; there is a parking lot behind the building and parking on the street.)

This meeting will be the Am-Can Plantapalooza.

The doors will open at 1:30 p.m. for socializing.

The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. There will be a short business meeting.

Carol and Tony Haj of Lasting Dreams Daylilies will demonstrate how to divide a daylily.

After a refreshment break, the main event will feature daylilies from Canadian hybridizers. The plants will be displayed with their description and value. A bag is set alongside each plant. You put a ticket into the bag next to the plant you hope to buy. A ticket will be drawn and the person holding that ticket will have the opportunity to buy the plant at a greatly reduced price. Members will receive the tickets for free and guests can buy the tickets.

Some special cultivars will be auctioned.
