“The Dark, Moody & Beauty” will be the exhibit from Wednesday, April 21 through Sunday, June 6 in the Arcangel Gallery at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The exhibit is included with admission.
“The Dark, Moody & Beauty” by Edwin Warnes is a journey to make pictures that are commonly bright & vibrant. Warnes said: “Lean more toward the darkness & moodiness but yet remain beautiful. I’ve been an amateur photographer for five plus years & often see the same colors, the same contrast. I like to put my own colors or brush to make pictures distinctive to me. Hoping that the image will make you feel an emotion good or bad but to feel in some way. Often changing the actual color of an image to create a palette that is Edwin Warnes Photography. With the hope that people see one of my pictures & know by colors & feel that the picture is one of mine. I believe in blurring the lines of what is normal for photography, to create through passion & emotion a lasting image that makes a person feel.”
Reservations are required for all visitors, including members, due to capacity limitations. Walk-ins may be turned away if capacity is surpassed. To maintain the capacity limit and the safety of both visitors and staff, visitors are encouraged to limit their visit to 1-1.5 hours.
