Join master naturalist Chris Kieber and herbalist Dave Kieber for a hands-on survival skills workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at the nature center at Genesee Country Village & Museum, 1410 Flint Rd., Mumford.

This workshop focuses on early summer collection and preparation of wild edibles. Participants will learn safe foraging techniques and preparations of plants. Other topics include primitive fire making techniques and campfire cooking.

Take snacks to supplement your wild foods lunch. Please dress for the weather.

This workshop is for teens aged 16 to adults.

Attendance at previous survival skills sessions is not required.

The fee is $35 for members of Genesee Country Village & Museum and $40 for nonmembers. Register here.
