The Buffalo Audubon Society will hold a Christmas tree forts program from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at Beaver Meadow Audubon Center, 1610 Welch Road, Java Center.

Christmas trees can still hold their magic even when the holiday is over. The Audubon society will celebrate the New Year by making forts out of discarded Christmas trees. There will be hot cocoa and a bonfire for warming up as well. Using only twine and simple hand tools, kids can build a fort using their own creativity.

Preregistration required. The cost is $4 per child and accompanying adults are free. Please call 585-457-3228 to register.
