Monarch Butterfly Festival at Audubon in Jamestown

The Monarch Butterfly Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Saturday, August 28 at the Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Rd., Jamestown.

In an indoor garden, observe monarchs from tiny eggs to caterpillars, chrysalises, and beautiful butterflies. Hold a caterpillar or butterfly, see them tagged then released at 6 p.m. to fly to Mexico. The event includes nature walks, butterfly programs, butterfly garden plants for sale, a food truck, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Take your camera!

The cost is $8 for the public, $6 for Nature Center members and ages 3-15, and free for ages 2 and under.
