A Kohlfahrt or German winter cabbage walk will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at Genesee Country Village & Museum, 1410 Flint Hill Rd., Mumford.

This event is for adults ages 21 and older. Staff will check ID. No infants or small children are allowed.

On this German-inspired Kohlfahrt or cabbage walk, you will play games, sample beer and wine, and end the journey with a traditional hearty meal.

The Kohlfahrt tour includes:

  • Recharge from the holidays and enjoy the beauty of winter by taking a guided nature walk.  You will stroll along forest trails and village streets.  Tours depart every 15 minutes between 1:30 – 3:30 PM. Reservations are required.
  • Along your tour, sample varieties of German beer and wine. Cider, schnapps and non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Each tour will have their very own “Booze Wagen.”  Each participant will receive their own beverage tasting necklace.
  • Play games as you compete for title of “Kale Queen” or “Kale King.”  At the end of the tour, a winner will be crowned.
  • After your tour, enjoy a traditional Kohlfahrt meal. Full glasses of wine, beer, and other beverages will be available for purchase during the meal.
