Docent training classes will be held 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursdays September 10 – November 5 excluding holidays at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Avenue, Buffalo.
Docents lead tours of the Botanical Gardens for a variety of groups year round, teach hands-on programs to school-aged children and scout groups, facilitate activities in the Wegman’s Family Garden, answer visitor questions during special plant exhibits and events and assist Education staff in programs that inspire and educate visitors about all the Botanical Gardens have to offer. An education background is not required, but a high level of interest and enthusiasm is! If you have been trained as a docent in the past but haven’t been involved recently, or you would like a refresher, you are also welcome to attend training.
Cost for the series is $25 for Botanical Gardens members and non-members. To sign up, click here.
