The BOOtanical Celebration, a Wegmans Family Day, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.
It will be the most spooktacular, indoor family event of the year. Explore the spooky scenery and activities that will be fall fun for all. Creatures have taken over the Botanical Gardens for the new Coleus and Creatures Exhibit. See all the exciting plant creatures and learn about pre historic creatures from Past & Present with a scavenger hunt. Be sure to check out the carnivorous plant collection, learn with BioFacts about Venus Fly Traps, and dig for fossils. The Buffalo Bookmobile will also be on-site with some awesome dino books.
Pick up an activity booklet to complete throughout your adventure through the Botanical Gardens and turn it in for a prize.  While you’re exploring the grounds, be sure to check out the carnivorous plant collection and a spooktacular train display by the WNY Garden Railway Society.
