The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will hold a beginning bonsai workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 20 at the Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.
Get up close and personal with a tree with these hands-on workshops. Participants will fashion a live bonsai tree while learning about the art of bonsai, techniques and styles with the Buffalo Bonsai Society. Space is limited. Materials are provided but participants may wish to bring hand clippers and wear gardening gloves. Bringing a box to transport the finished product is recommended.
This workshop will also be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19.
The cost is $75 for Botanical Gardens members and $80 for the general public. Registration is available online.
